14 – 15 November 2015
The Aiguamolls (wetlands) de l’Empordà are a natural area of Catalonia with a great diversity of birds. The coexistence in a confined space of various natural environments (open sea, sandy coast, freshwater ponds, brackish ponds, riparian forest, rivers …) and also artificial (crops and pastures); the easy access; the opportunity to visit them by walking due to the existence of an extensive network of marked trails and strategically placed hides make this space an internationally important birding destination.
We intend to explore the wetlands and their birds over two days with a professional guide.
